Board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathology specialist Laertes Manuelidis, MD, FAAD, has been with Associates in Dermatology since 2003, providing consistently excellent care for his patients.
In the Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Punta Gorda, Florida, offices, Dr. Manuelidis focuses on the evaluation, early detection, and treatment of skin cancer. He is particularly interested in melanoma, atypical moles, and the correlation between clinical and pathological diagnoses.
Dr. Manuelidis earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. He then attended Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, to complete his medical degree and residency.
He completed specialized dermatopathology fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dr. Manuelidis is certified by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and the American Board of Pathology (ABPath).
He is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), the Dermatology Foundation (DF), and the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
He is also a past president of the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and was honored with a distinguished service award for his contributions.
While his job is his passion, Dr. Manuelidis is also passionate about spending time with his wife and children. Some favorite hobbies include boating, fishing, and traveling when he has the time.
