Shari Skinner, MD, FAAD

Over more than 25 years at Associates in Dermatology, Shari Skinner, MD, FAAD, has established an exemplary reputation as a patient-focused dermatologist. 

At the practice’s offices in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Punta Gorda, Florida, Dr. Skinner offers medical and surgical dermatology with a special focus on skin cancer detection, prevention, and treatment.

Dr. Skinner earned her undergraduate degree in pharmacy at Samford University in Homewood, Alabama, just outside Birmingham. 

She worked as a licensed practicing pharmacist in retail and hospital settings before continuing her education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky, where she earned her medical degree and completed her internal medicine internship. 

Dr. Skinner went on to Penn State Health Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where she completed her dermatology residency. 

She’s certified by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), Florida Medical Association (FMA), the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS), Lee County Medical Society (LCMS), and the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS). 

During her time on the LCMS Board of Governors, Dr. Skinner served in many positions, including society president. 

Dr. Skinner is a skin cancer expert who also offers skilled treatment of many other dermatological conditions in patients of all ages. Her patients appreciate that she is friendly, caring, and accessible. 

When she’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Skinner loves to read, cook, run, travel, and enjoy quality time with her loved ones.
