Botox is an FDA approved treatment that temporarily improves the appearance of moderate to severe lines between the brows, on the forehead, and crow’s feet. It works by partially paralyzing the muscles that are responsible for creating the lines. Over time this procedure causes the wrinkles to fade, giving you a more youthful appearance.
Botox is a relatively large molecule. It cannot be absorbed through the skin like many creams and other beauty products. It must be injected to be effective.

Botox injections are performed using a fine needle, and most patients report having little to no discomfort during the procedure.
Results are not typically seen until 5 days post injection, with the full outcome of the procedure taking effect 7-10 days from the time of treatment. While the duration of the results will vary, Botox treatment typically lasts 3 months on average. Follow-up treatment for three months should be scheduled in advance.
