Dr. Skinner joined Associates in Dermatology in 1998. She received her BS in Pharmacy from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and was a licensed practicing pharmacist in Kentucky in both the hospital and retail settings. Dr. Skinner then decided to further her education and attended the University of Louisville. She continued there for her Internal Medicine internship, and then went on to Penn State University in Hershey, Pa, where Dr. Skinner completed her Dermatology residency.
Dr. Skinner joined Associates in Dermatology in 1998, bringing a high level of dermatologic care with special emphasis on skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.
Dr. Skinner was the recipient of the American Contact Dermatitis Society Clinical Award in 1997. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, Florida Medical Association, Lee County Medical Society, American Contact Dermatitis Society, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Skinner has served on the Board of Governors for the Lee County Medical Society and held multiple offices including President. Dr. Skinner has also served on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Florida Symphony. She was a founding member of We Care of Southwest Florida. She also has served for many years as a delegate for Lee County at the Florida Medical Association House of Governors.
Dr. Skinner enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, running, and spending time with family.
